Deep restoration and enhancement of the main squares and historical paths of the ancient medieval core including underground network installations. From north to south it concerns via Porta S. Pietro, via Paradiso, via and p.za S. Paolo, p.za Don Albertario, via Squicciarini and the area of p.za Dei Martiri which links the main city architectural emergencies – the De Mari Palace (already Norman and -Angevin castle, today the town hall), the 15th century cathedral of Sant’Eustachio and Clock Tower (palazzo del Sedile). The careful excavations have guaranteed the recovery of the ancient paving of limestone and the preservation and enhancement of the archeological emergencies. It corresponds to over 6.000 m2 of pedestrian spaces for a total amount of € 1.900.000,00.
Part of the integrated program of urban regeneration which main objective is the recovery of public areas, existing or abandoned, to literally regenerate the historical urban area and the main services for residents with new green areas, parking, adapted systems for slow and eco mobility. It has been financed by European resources of PO FESR 2007/2013 – Asse VII – Linea 7.1 – azione 7.1.1 after a regional public selection.
