municipality of Bisceglie (Bt)
recovery of historical buildings now in poor conditions located in the old part of the town called “Bisceglie Vecchia”. The intervention area is the village inside the Aragonese walls, more specifically identified in the blocks no.5 and no.14 already known as PEEP area, heart of a degraded area with economic and social problems of almost two hectares and where a paradoxical situation of marginality exists despite its central position.
The main purpose of the project is the realization of apartments to house old and young couples with experimental features focused on saving energy resources, high level of comfort on respecting historical traits found under the rubble. The project covers more than 2.500 square meters of floor area on several levels. Work valued at € 3.000.000,00
project realized after a regional selection of regional and national resources for innovative programs of urban regeneration called Contratti di Quartiere II. It includes a structured intervention system affecting public spaces and services previously absent in the old center, like a pre-school, car parks and green spaces, with a special care for marginal and disqualifying spaces.
