recovery and remake of the park Don Giacomo Donnaloja with the removal of architectural barriers in the area nearby the Church of S. Antonio.
The area, first degraded, poorly illuminated and inaccessible, has become a new place representative of the town, characterized by an extensive urban park, complete with seating, pedestrian paths and urban furniture.
Redesigned with the total elimination of architectural barriers, it allows its use to people with mobility problems. Enhanced also in its different uses like religious representations and outdoor festivals and exhibitions. Work valued at € 430.000,00.
intervention realised thanks to European funds obtained after regional public selection ( PO FESR 2007-2013 – Asse VII – Linea di intevento 7.2)within the extensive program of Integrated Territorial Regeneration of “Area Vasta” “Valle d’Itria” involving four other neighbouring towns (Castellana Grotte, Locorotondo, Cisternino and Noci).
